Interview with Rebecca Kaffash

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

The first time I heard a baby’s heartbeat during my clinical rotations I knew this would be the field for me. I also wanted the privilege of empowering women by educating them about their health and wellness.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I graduated from my Physician Assistant program in 2019, and started working at The Woman’s Health Pavilion shortly thereafter.

What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?

What makes my job most rewarding is being there for women during many important stages of their lives. I thrive on putting women at ease when they’re nervous, and using my background to empower and educate women.

Also, witnessing a mother hear her baby’s heartbeat for the first time never gets old.

What brought you to the area and to this practice?

One of my colleagues was working at The Women’s Health Pavilion for about five years when I called her for some advice. She had so many amazing things to say about this practice and the providers. It must have been fate, because I was called for an interview and offered a position shortly afterwards!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends
