Alexandra Kasparian, PA-C is a licensed Physician Assistant with a passion for women’s and reproductive health. She grew up in East Williston, NY. Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lafayette College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then obtained her Master of Science in Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., a top-ranked PA program. She served on the Board of GWU’s student chapter of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Highlights of her training also include undergraduate healthcare coursework in Copenhagen, Denmark and an Obstetrics & Gynecology internship at Wigmore Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Yerevan, Armenia. Since becoming NCCPA certified, Alexandra remains dedicated to continued learning and staying up to date on reproductive health topics to provide the best care to her patients. She joined WHP in 2024.

An Interview with Alexandra Kasparian, PA-C
What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?
I have always been passionate about reproductive rights and empowering others to make informed decisions about their bodies. I recognize that people can feel vulnerable and/or anxious about receiving Ob/Gyn care, and that some have previously had negative experiences. I know I can’t undo the past. Still, went into this field to advocate for patients’ best care, and to make patients feel heard and respected.
How many years have you been practicing in the field?
I completed my training to become a Physician Assistant in 2024 and have worked in Obstetrics & Gynecology ever since.
What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?
The most rewarding part of my job is the trusting relationships I make with my patients. I love being able to support people in their growth across the lifespan, from adolescence to pregnancy to menopause, and everything between. I also love when patients ask questions and are curious about their bodies; it’s such a privilege to teach people and help them make decisions about their health.
What brought you to the area and to this practice?
Growing up on Long Island, I always knew I wanted to work in the New York area. It’s a pleasure to serve the communities in which I was raised. As for The Woman’s Health Pavilion, I am proud to be part of a practice that prioritizes patients’ needs and wellbeing and that has such an incredible team of providers and staff.
Do you have special interests or areas of specialty as an ob/gyn?
There is a special place in my heart for working with patients and families in the LGBTQ+ community. I take sincere care to approach this population’s unique needs with empathy, sensitivity, and understanding. It is a pleasure to share a non-judgmental, inclusive space where patients feel safe expressing themselves and their goals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending time in nature, biking, cooking, going to art museums, and spending time with friends and family.
