An interview with Grace Navarro

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

When I completed my PA rotations in 2005, I realized that Ob/Gyn was my true calling.  It was so fulfilling to support women through different stages of their lives, and to bond with them on a personal level. I enjoy educating women to help them make decisions about their health and well-being, sharing moments with them and also supporting them through their challenges.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I have been practicing in gynecology since 2014.

What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?

The most rewarding part of my job is making a difference in someone’s life when they need it the most. I try my best to make the every patient’s gyn visit more comfortable, and I treat my patients as I would like my family or myself to be treated.

What brought you to the area and to this practice?

I have heard great things about this practice, and I have wanted to be a part of the WHP family for a very long time. I’m so excited to work alongside such excellent providers and staff.

Do you have special interests or areas of specialty as an ob/gyn?

I’m specifically drawn to educating and  managing patients with abnormal  pap smears and patients prone to vaginal infections.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I have 2 children aged 6 and 8, and when I’m not working I enjoy spending time with them. Two of my favorite hobbies are painting and karaoke.
