An interview with Arielle Brier
What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?
What drives my passion for OB/GYN is the ability to empower women in regards to their own bodies and health. Working in women’s health permits me to establish long-term relationships with my patients, from adolescence to adulthood. By offering unwavering care and support throughout life’s most vulnerable moments, I can provide women with the strength and guidance they need to navigate these significant transitions with confidence.
How many years have you been practicing in the field?
I grew up locally on Long Island and attended Touro School of Health Sciences, where I earned my master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2023. I am excited to begin my career as a part of The Woman’s Health Pavilion team, and to contribute to the well-being of the women in our community.
What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?
I find it rewarding to apply my skills and knowledge to empower women to make a positive difference in their lives. Being able to assist women in the miraculous journey of bringing life into this world is a privilege that fills me with joy and gratitude every day.
What brought you to the area and to this practice?
I have always lived on Long Island, and I plan to stay and raise my family here. Joining the team at The Woman’s Health Pavilion, with their commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate care, aligns perfectly with my own values. It’s an outstanding career opportunity for me.
Do you have special interests or areas of specialty as an ob/gyn?
I am passionate about patient education and counseling. I firmly believe that knowledge is power, and I consider it a privilege to empower women with the information they need to take charge of their own health. I seek to create a safe space for my patients to ask questions, express their fears or anxieties, and actively participate in their healthcare decisions.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When not working I love spending time with family. I value an active lifestyle and enjoy exercising throughout the week and trying new healthy recipes. In the summer you can find me swimming in the pool and taking long walks on the beach.
