An Interview With Courtney

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to take care of babies; I just never knew it would be in this capacity. I saw my first birth in nursing school, and I knew from that day forward that this was the field I wanted to work in.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I have been practicing in the field since 2004.

What makes your job rewarding?

There are so many things that make my job rewarding, seeing a family created is by far the best part. It is such a privilege to follow a couple’s pregnancy from beginning to end, and then see them bring their babies in for their first postpartum visit.

“In 2016, I joined The Woman’s Health Pavilion to pursue my true passion — women’s health.”

What brought you to the area and to WHP?

I have worked on Labor and Delivery since 2002 with Dr. Saad, Dr. Scarantino, and then Dr. Piboon. It was an honor to be asked by this group of physicians to come and work for them. I have always trusted and believed in this practice since the day I started working with them at the hospital. I travel 40 minutes to work each day to be part of a practice that I truly believe in and trust whole-heartedly.

Do you have special interests as an OB-GYN professional?

I am fascinated by the world of infertility and the successful outcomes of these pregnancies.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I am a busy mom of three. I love to watch them play sports.
