“I am particularly passionate about increasing healthcare access for historically disenfranchised groups, access to affordable contraception, and social and reproductive justice.”

I was born and raised in north Jersey, shortly after my parents immigrated to the US from Haiti. I went to Rutgers University for my undergraduate education then the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I completed residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Temple University Hospital in North Philadelphia.

An Interview with Dr. Daphney Noel

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

As an OB/GYN, I am a primary care provider, a specialist and a surgeon – there are so many ways I can help my patients! I can celebrate with them as they welcome a new addition to the family, help keep them healthy with annual check-ups and preventative screenings, or use my surgical skills to correct a problem. Advocacy is also part of OB/GYN, and I am particularly passionate about increasing healthcare access for historically disenfranchised groups, access to affordable contraception, and social and reproductive justice.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I graduated from medical school in 2021, and completed my residency training in Ob/Gyn in June 2025!

What do you enjoy about your work?

I love that my job allows me to establish lifelong relationships with my patients, supporting them through their reproductive journeys and empowering them to make informed decisions about their bodies. The field of obstetrics and gynecology permits me to deliver sensitive care while building the trust patients need during vulnerable times.

What brought you to the area and to this practice?

Growing up and spending most of my adult life in north Jersey, I’ve been looking forward to one day living and practicing in the city! This practice has a very diverse patient population, is very supportive and strongly values taking excellent care of patients.

Do you have special interests or areas of specialty as an ob/gyn?

I really enjoy both general obstetrics and gynecology. I have an interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology – I believe establishing early a healthy foundation of understanding and taking care of your body is very important for life.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love reading and my favorite genre is fantasy. I enjoy taking care of my plants, hosting and cooking for friends and family, going to see musical theater, trying new restaurants, and traveling the world.
