An Interview With Dr. Eronmwon E. Oronsaye

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

Women’s health has always been a passion of mine. As a matter of fact, my best friends always joked about me being a pseudo-gynecologist when I was growing up because everyone came to me with their GYN issues despite me having had no real medical experience! Fast forward to this stage in my career, obstetrics and gynecology is the most dynamic specialty I could have chosen. It allows me to acquire potentially lifelong patients and perform a wide range of surgical procedures. Most importantly, the ability to help a woman bring life into the world is truly breathtaking; it’s an experience I remain in awe of.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I joined The Woman’s Health Pavilion in 2018. Prior to that I spent four years training at Nassau University Medical Center.

What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?

The most rewarding part of this job is the ability to deliver world class care to women from all walks of life. I enjoy every aspect of this, whether this be in the form of educating my patients about medical issues that are affecting them, performing minimally invasive surgeries, or bringing life into the world.

What brought you to the area and to this practice?

I am a native of New York and my entire immediate family is from NYC, so practicing close to home was an easy decision. When it came to choosing a practice, The Woman’s Health Pavilion stood out for its group of esteemed providers, and excellent gynecological surgery. Dr. Saad is known to be an amazing mentor and he works to foster surgical and professional growth in his junior attendings.
