Interview with Olu Owoyele-Alake

What led you to the field of obstetrics/gynecology?

Women’s health is a delicate topic for many, and many practitioners are fearful of caring for this vulnerable population. I learned that I enjoy being able to help women empower women to care for themselves in the best way possible.

How many years have you been practicing in the field?

I’ve been practicing in this field since 2016.

What makes your job rewarding? What do you enjoy about your work?

I love the opportunity to build relationships with my patients and to help them understand their bodies and take good care of themselves.

What brought you to the area and to this practice?

I love what the Woman’s Health Pavilion stands for, and I knew that I always wanted to be a part of an organization that truly aims to put patients first. I’m truly grateful to be here!

Do you have special interests or areas of specialty as an ob/gyn?

I love helping women start the process planning for their family. It’s an honor to be a part of that journey, from pre-conception to meeting their new bundle of joy.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love spending time with my family and going out to eat and traveling. I also spend a lot of time at home, finding new content  to binge on Netflix.
